Workday Talent Management Consultant

We are looking for a talented Consultant Knowledgeable in Workday Talent Management to join our team at ERP Federal.

The Workday Consultants on the Professional Services Talent Management team are responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through effective delivery of technical data and reporting solutions for Compensation, Performance, and Succession implementations. As a Workday Consultant, you will generate services revenue by delivering technical data and reporting solutions on a variety of Talent Management customer engagements, ie new installations, migrations, and enhancements. In addition, this role will support technical activities related to services delivery of infrastructure, databases/SQL, reporting, and other system integration needs as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer needs and understand customer business and application requirements to create and execute implementation strategies (i.e. Compensation, Performance Management, and Succession Planning)
  • Strong discipline and organization skills, with the technical ability to author clean, simplified code and documentation
  • Assist with project scoping and service proposal, as needed, utilizing planning tools
  • Provide input and guidance to Project Managers, project planning, and customers during implementations and conversions
  • Assist with the implementation of Workday software, including the configuration of the applications and testing to confirm functionality
  • During conversion process provide support to customer, reservations, coaching staff, answering questions, resolving or reporting system issues and anticipating customer needs
  • Provide on-site and webinar customer training by describing how the system and each of the applications work, how the set-up of applications can affect the performance of the system and demonstrate the functionality of the System
  • Coaches, mentors, trains and guides others in a given area
  • Establish & foster customer relationships through weekly status meetings and reports for active implementations, and monthly calls for completed implementations
  • Empower customers through effective knowledge transfer
  • Achieve individual and team billable utilization, services revenue, and profitability targets
  • Maintain & upgrade self-knowledge of industry, market & related products/solutions
  • Ability to successfully interact with key project members, both senior management and end users, of the customer’s organization, and with third party partners
  • Knowledge of HRMS/HRIS functionality and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of laptops, hardware, software, operating systems and database management systems
  • Knowledge of web technologies and industry-standard relational database products
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills) to articulate high-level technical concepts into everyday language suitable for audiences with a wide-spectrum of knowledge
  • Proven ability solving complex customer problems and making decisions within challenging assignments

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience with Workday solutions is preferred, but will consider similar experience with other Talent Management solutions, ie Taleo, SuccessFactors
  • 3+ years’ experience with object-oriented programming concepts and languages, i.e. Java/Groovy is preferred, or a similar language like C/C# is also desirable
  • 3+ years’ experience with Reporting/Database Access, i.e. BIRT Reporting and JavaScript are preferred, Crystal Reports or SAP Business Objects is also desirable
  • 3+ years’ experience of software development with structured data concepts, i.e. XML is preferred, and XSLT, XPath, JMS, JSON are also desirable
  • 3+ years of Global Talent Management industry expertise is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience implementing large, complex, customer-facing HR systems
  • 3+ years of experience working in an HR or Finance environment, ideally with software applications supporting Compensation, Performance or Succession Planning.
  • 3+ years of experience on customer-facing services delivery projects
